T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2024 Kia Carnival- Video
If you have a hitch on your Carnival, it's very possible that you're gonna want to pick up some four-pole trailer wiring harness, and this one is super easy to get installed. My name's Brad from etrailer and today we are installing the Tekonsha T-One Trailer Wiring Harness for four-pole wiring on 2024 Kia Carnival. Now something that's consistent with all trailers is there's going to be lights on the back of 'em, and that's so you can stay safe and legal by letting people behind you know when you have your running lights on, your turn signals or brake lights, and in order to get those signals, you're gonna need four-pole trailer wiring harness. And if you have a larger trailer, maybe seven pole, but for most smaller trailers, which is gonna fit well for a Carnival towing, four pole trailer wiring harness is gonna get you there. And this one is super easy to do. Now not all Carnivals have the tow package with the factory plug that just makes this truly plug and play. more

If you install a hitch on your Telluride, it might be a good idea to pick up some trailer wiring harness. Obviously if you plan on towing a trailer, but it is one of those things, it's nice to have. That way if you do need to pull a trailer, you'll have this ready to go and that's gonna give you the light signals for your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights to the trailer and that's gonna keep you safe and legal. Now this one in particular is actually a pretty new kit. For a while the Kia Tellurides had a CAN bus system and it required using a universal splicing. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T1 trailer wiring harness on a 2022 Kia Sorento. Adding four-pole trailer wiring to any hitch install or if you already have a hitch installed on your vehicle, it's worth picking one of these up because you may not tow trailers a lot, but if you do have to get maybe something to move or just pull a small utility trailer, you're gonna need this to have light signals on that trailer to keep you safe and legal. And the way this works, it ties in directly to your turn signals, running lights and brake lights from your tail lights and just tease into it. And that way you don't have to cut or splice any of your factory wiring, and this is all module protected as well. And that simply means if there's any back feed that's not gonna go through here and damage your vehicle's wiring, it also has an inline fuse and that way you have double protection. As far as installation goes, this kit comes with everything that you'll need. more

Adding the seven-pole wiring harness to the back of your Telluride is gonna allow you to pull trailers, not only just standard trailers, but also trailers with brakes. That is the point of a seven-pole. In addition to your four normal functions, which are gonna be strictly based off your taillights, your stop, your left and right turn and your running light signal, you're going to get your auxiliary battery signal, which is a charge line, essentially, from your vehicle to your trailer battery. more

This is gonna give you a 4-way connector on the back of your vehicle, giving you running lights, brake lights and turn signals with any trailer that you plan on towing. And even some accessories like bike racks will utilize something like a 4-pole to give you those signals at the back of a bike rack if you plan on using that with your Sportage. Our connector is located pretty far down underneath but it's attached to a bracket on our hitch. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2023 Kia Sorento. Now adding 4-pole trailer wiring harness is a great option on any vehicle that you've installed a hitch on because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you're gonna need this to transmit the lights signals from your vehicle to the trailer and that's gonna include your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights. And this gets really nice because it plugs into your factory style plugs behind the taillights and then really all you have to do is kind of get everything mounted up, run a power wire to a 12 volt power from the battery and that's really about it. It also has a module and an inline fuse so if you ever have a back feed from either your trailer or a short in your car it's not gonna damage any of the factory electronics. Overall, this is a pretty easy installation because it is pretty well plugged into the taillights. Now you are gonna have to connect a few butt connectors and you might need a heat shrink gun or a heat gun to get your heat shrink connectors all cinched up. more

This kit is gonna give us a mostly plug and play system that feeds out into a four-pole wiring and by our hitch. This is gonna let us tow a trailer and have lighting signals at the back. You're gonna get your turn signals, your running lights and your brake lights so that if you are towing a small trailer with your Soul, people are gonna know your intentions going down the road and you're gonna be towing safely and legally. Now, it comes included with the dust cap over the top to keep the connector all safely tucked in, but it doesn't include any sort of mounting hardware, so you will need to consider how you're gonna mount it. more

So this particular kit here is gonna come with what's known as a 4-Way trailer connector also referred to as a 4-Pole. Now this is the most basic type of trailer connector and more than likely the one you're gonna be using with your Telluride. There is another common one, and that's going to be a 7-Way. Now this is for larger trailers with electric brakes, and if you have one of those, you can still use this harness but you will need an adapter which we carry here at etrailer. So this is what our trailer connector looks like installed on the vehicle, now, granted, you will need to come up with your own way to physically mount the trailer connector. So this particular harness here provides us with a seven way trailer connector. And today on our 2019 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness with a Brake Controller Adapter and 7-way Plug. With Sorento's being pretty capable SUVs, a lot of people use them to do a lot of different things, which does include towing some relatively large trailers, actually. And what's really cool about this kit is it's going to allow us to do a couple of different things.One being, since it gives us that 7-way plug, we're going to have the larger connector here, that way we're able to plug our trailer directly into it. And not only that, but it's going to give us that brake controller adapter plug upfront underneath the driver's dash. So if your trailer has electric brakes, you're going to easily and conveniently be able to hook up a brake controller, that way you can pull it and stop it safely.What I do really like about this kit is the fact that it utilizes the factory tow package plug, so really makes things easy. more

Today I have a 2014 Kia Sorento, and I want to walk through how to install Tekonsha's T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for vehicles that have a factory tow package.Now, how you determine on your Kia Sorento if your vehicle has factory tow package is under the driver's side. If you have a panel there, the panel obviously have to be removed, but there's going to be two plugs that stick out that are going to have caps on them. That's going to determine that you have factory tow package. If those two plugs are not there, then you know you don't have factory tow package. more

Today on our 2020 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness.Sorento owners tend to use their SUV's to do a little bit of everything, which is definitely understandable because they are really versatile vehicles. And that's where the trailer wiring is going to come into play. Not only can you hook your trailer up to it, that way the lights will sync up with the lights on the back of your Sorento and you'll be safe and legal, but you can also use it for hitch mounted accessories.For example some cargo carriers, steps, things in that nature actually have lights on them. And with a four pole flat connector, it's much easier to hook those up. You'd simply plug them in as opposed to having to splice into your Kia's factory wiring.One thing I really do like about this kit is the fact that it uses a module box and that module box is going to protect your Sorento's factory wiring. more

Adding wiring to your vehicle is going to allow, if you're pulling a trailer, to get wire functions from your vehicle to your trailer so that you're legal and safe.Adding this wiring harness to your vehicle, for the Tekonsha wiring, in my opinion, is probably going to be the best choice. Tekonsha's been known to hold up in their wiring. They're going to have a converter box that's going to be filled with potting material where all the wires come in and connect. That potting material holds those wires onto that circuit board really well so that, in the event that there is a lot of movement in that box or with the box, vibration, those wires aren't going to come loose.Another thing I like about it is, with the converter box, what it does is it actually protects your factory wiring in your vehicle from any backfeed from the trailer if there's a wiring issue. more

Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Kia Soul- Video

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness for our 2012 Kia soul.The Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness offers a complete plug and play installation for our Kia soul. As you can see here, it has a nice and clean finish when attached to the bottom of the receiver tube. If we use our optional brackets, otherwise we would just have it hanging from the safety chain loops. Now hasn't mentioned, this is a plug and play install, and furthermore, it is a non-powered unit, which means we don't have to run that pesky power wire up to the vehicle's battery, which saves a lot on our install time.The Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness is going to provide us with our basics functions for the smaller size trailers. It's going to have the running light circuit, the left and right stop and turn signal circuit as well as the right side, stop and turn signal circuits. more

Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Installation - 2019 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2019 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt powered taillight converter with four-pole flat trailer connector. All right, this is what it's going to look like installed. This is going to give us all of our necessary lighting functions for our trailer: Stop, turn signals, and running lights. It puts out 5 amps for our turn signals and brake lights, and it puts out 7.5 amps for our running lights.To begin our install, we're going to need to remove the tail lights. So first, we open up our hatch, and there's actually a panel right here on each side are exactly the same. Going to remove these panels to gain access to the nuts that are holding the tail lights on. more

Today on our 2017 Kia Sedona we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Hopkins plug-in simple wiring harness for factory tow package with a four-pole flat trailer connector. That's going to be part number HM11143965. Here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. It is designed to stay on the outside of the vehicle so it will be close by our hitch whenever we hook up. It's going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector so we can have all the required lights to safely get down the road like our tail lights, our turn signals, and our brake lights, and the included dust caps to make sure that we don't have any corrosion built up inside of our connector.
